This was the first electric locomotive designed and built in Brazil in the workshops of General Electric do Brasil, in Campinas, São Paulo. 10 units were produced for Cia. Paulista de Estradas de Ferro (CPEF), in 1967, with a gauge of 1.60m, power of 5130 HP and weight of 144 tons.

Painted in the traditional blue and cream CPEF scheme, they were numbered from 350 to 359. Their maiden voyage took place on 05/06/1967 in the presence of the then governor of the state of São Paulo, Laudo Natel. As has always happened with all the locomotives on our railways, where each of them received a nickname inspired by scenes or characters of the time, this one received the nickname “Vandeca', in honor of the singer Vanderléia, belonging to the so-called “young guard” movement. ”, headed by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos.

In 1971 they passed to FEPASA where they were renumbered from 6351 to 6360 and were gradually painted in the FEPASA phase I scheme. Later, they received the red and black colors with white inscriptions, from phase II. None of them received the gray paintwork, from FEPASA phase III.
